About the Green Bay Packers

Welcome fellow Packers fan!

As you know, finding great Packers Tickets is probably the hardest part of being a Packers supporter, but here you will find information on how to obtain 'hard to get' and 'sold out' tickets.

2007-08 Season

Good News for Packers ticket buyers! Green Bay has given a lot of time solidifying a defensive front that was already pretty good. Their young defensive line is a bit more mature. Their O line will remain intact. Second Round pick Brandon Jackson might be positioned as RB.  Some say Favre should hand the reigns to Aaron Rodgers, but fans and critics think Favre has more game left in him, and will rise to the occasion this season. Donald Driver has his QBs trust, and is a strong receiver. They have two reliable tackles in Mark Tauscher and Chad Clifton, and a stacked D line. In fact, if the Packers strengthen their running game, they have the potential to be playoff contenders.

Previous Seasons

The Green Bay Packers have one of, if not the, most storied franchise in all of football. For starters, their team is owned by the city of Green Bay and the love the city has for them is unparalleled across the league. The franchise has been the host to a number of the greatest players the league has seen. Guys like Bart Starr, Ray Nitschke, Paul Horning and coaches like Curly Lambeau, who is the namesake for their stadium, and Vince Lombardi, who is the namesake for the NFL Championship trophy. The Packers were also won the first two Super Bowls, the first over the Chiefs, 35-10, and the second over the Raiders, 33-14. The Packers have also been involved in one of the greatest football games of all time… the “Ice Bowl.” The game was played in weather that is inhabitable. The temperature was -12 degrees and with the wind chill factored in, it felt like -46 degrees. The Packers found themselves down 17-14, a little under five minutes left in the game. Starr then guided his team 68 yards down the field and sealed the win with a one yard QB sneak with 13 seconds left in the game. The game went down in history, as did Starr and the Packers.

The team has kept it’s storied tradition going in recent memory. They have been led by another quarterback, Brett Favre, who has taken them to two Super Bowls and to the playoffs in 12 of the last 13 seasons.

Last year wasn’t any different. The team got into the postseason where they fell to the Minnesota Vikings 31-17 at Lambeau Field. The team had one of the best offenses in the league, but also had one of the worst defenses in the league. So the off-season attention was turned to helping the defense improve, because, as we all know, defense wins championships.

One of their pick ups was Earl Little who is a safety that played with the Cleveland Browns the year before. Little should be able to bring a little bit of depth to a secondary that has never been incredibly strong since LeRoy Butler and Darren Sharper used to patrol out there a few years back. The team also signed former New England Patriots guard Adrian Klemm to a multi-year deal. Klemm should help solidify an already above average line.

In the draft, the Packers started to look to the future and they did that with their first pick. They chose California quarterback Aaron Rodgers and have tabbed him to heir to Favre’s throne out in Packer country. They spent five of their next seven picks on defensive players. Their second round pick was spent on Bethune-Cookman cornerback Nick Collins. He should be able to come in and help out the defense immediately. They could surely use him.
